We Got our Straight On Today....As In Hair Straightened!
I like doing soft curls on the top of my head when I use a flat Iron. So when I read this brands plates have curved edges that provide extra flexibility to curl, or straighten your hair. It is suppose to be quicker so I was a bit excited. The whole description sounded fantastic and I wanted to get started with it but kept putting it off! My hair always feels totally dry and course for weeks after using a hair straightener. I'm kinda not looking forward to this.....Worried is a better way of putting it.I also called my youngest daughter. She has straighten her hair since she was 14 years old. Her next day off would be in a couple of days, so we had a plan. I also called and asked my son's fiancé to come over. We decided we would get together and do our hair with the HSI Professional brand.
They arrived and we started to look over the items. Oddly enough my daughter is familiar with the HSI Professional brand and has used one of their brand of flat irons in the past. She likes the HSI Professional brand but is currently using a different brand at the time.
I decided I would go first. My hair is thin and somewhat naturally curly on good days and wavy on the worst. It is also not colored at the present time and is just below my shoulders
I washed and dried my hair. I first set the heat setting to half way, then plugged it in and moved the small on/off button where the heat control is to the on position.

I sprayed my hair with the HSI Professional Argan Oil Hair Spray while the Flat iron heated up. It took longer than I expected it too! Putting it threw my hair the first few times I knew immediately I need a higher setting. I then turn it up completely to maximum. I don't like where the controls are. I felt the small turning heat setting button was just a bit hard to maneuver especially when it is already hot.
I went about straightening my hair. It is gliding threw my hair but I am still making the same amount of pass throughs and it took me the same amount of time as with my usual flat iron. I finished up and let my youngest daughter start on her turn.

My Daughter was next. She is in her early 20's and has straightened her hair since he was 14 years old. Her hair is thick, long [to the middle of her back], and wavy.
She washed and dried her hair and sprayed her hair with the HSI Professional Argan Oil Hair Spray. he pointed out to me there i no indicator light on thi flat iron. I noticed to that but it lipped my mind.
She also doesn't like where the control buttons are located or the matte feel of outer body of the Flat Iron. She likes the outside to be smoother so it rolls around better in her hand[s]. The plates look great but they did not glide threw her hair. We watched as it would actually stop several times as she was putting it threw her hair. She also had to switched the heat control up to the maximum a I did.
She finished her hair and also was not impressed. She felt the scent of the spray was overwhelming and did state to me she doesn't think the spray did a good enough job on her hair and feels she may have done damage to her hair.
My son's fiancé is up next. She is also in her early 20's and her hair is straight and thin. She also likes to dye her hair and has done so 3 times within the last 6 months. She washed and dried her hair and sprayed the HSI Professional Argan Oil Hair Spray. She loves the smell of the spray.
The HSI Professional Glider Ceramic Flat Iron is doing a great job straightening her hair. No problems, it literally just slides threw her hair as it did mine. She finished up and She said it did style her hair faster than her current flat iron, and her hair is smoother, shinnier and not frizzy! She is very impressed with the HSI Professional Glider Ceramic Flat Iron and the HSI Professional Argan Oil Hair Spray. So she is getting to keep the Glider Ceramic Flat Iron its all hers!
